Drawing with replacement is a design decision, and it is disclosed
Real Hi-Lo played from a physical deck develops a count: as cards leave, the odds shift, and a player paying attention gains a genuine edge. This build draws with replacement, which destroys that edge before it can form. Every card is dealt from a full fifty-two regardless of what came before.
That is the less generous choice and it is written on the page, because the alternative is a player believing their memory is worth something here. It is not.
What replaced the streak counter
An earlier version of this page described a compounding streak multiplier and an on-screen expected value of continuing versus banking. Neither shipped. What ships is simpler and, on reflection, makes the same point better: each of the three buttons displays the fair price of that specific guess against the specific card showing, before the click.
A seven on the table makes higher and lower nearly symmetrical and prices them accordingly. A king makes higher a 1-in-13 proposition and pays it like one. The interface does the arithmetic the player would otherwise be guessing at, which is the opposite of a streak counter’s function.
The mathematics
Basis: exact. Computed at page load, not sampled — there is no error bar because there is no estimate.
Each button is priced from the card on the table: payout equals
(1 − 0.03) / p, where p is the true probability of that call. The
price is recomputed every card, so the offer always matches the situation.

On a 2 the higher call is nearly certain and pays 1.1464×; the lower call is
a long shot and pays 12.61×. Both return 97%. There is no
soft spot in the table because the pricing formula does not leave one.
Cards are drawn with replacement, which matters more than it sounds: no count
develops, the deck never becomes favourable, and a card that just appeared is exactly as likely
to appear again. Every decision in this game carries the same 97%, start to finish.
What the gate does before the game loads
Nine states have enacted statutory bans on the sweepstakes casino model, and six more closed their markets by enforcement without passing anything. Every one of those instruments turns on redeemable value. This platform has none, so it stays lawful in all fifty — but the geo-gate still names the statute, because a compliance claim that cannot be checked against a citation is a marketing claim.
Select New Jersey and the gate blocks the lobby citing A5447/S4282. Select Oklahoma and it plays, with an amber banner recording that SB 1589 takes effect on 1 November 2026. The distinction between an enacted ban and a ban in force is the sort of thing operators discover late; here it is in the interface, fed by the same weekly-verified database as the state tracker.
