Blackjack — the odds, computed
What this game returns, where the number comes from, and what a real casino is and is not obliged to tell you.
Published return
99.44%measured
Computed at load from the game’s own constants — the same source the casino itself uses to pay. Nothing on this line is typed by hand.
Measured rather than closed-form, so it carries a sampling interval rather than being exact to the last decimal.
What a real casino would do
Not knowable from the outside
Blackjack’s edge is set by the rule set, so a single number would be meaningless.
- This build: dealer stands on all 17s · blackjack pays 3:2 · double on any two cards · no splits.
- Change one of those and the figure moves. 6:5 blackjack alone costs the player more than a full point.
- We publish what THIS rule set returns, measured. We will not quote the blackjack edge, because there is no such thing.
- A real table’s figure follows from its posted rules. Read them, then derive it the way we derived roulette.
